NEW YORK — Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, has engaged the management of UBA America in discussions on investment opportunities and economic development as part of his official engagements on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States.
Governor Sule attended a dinner hosted by the management of UBA America following an invitation extended to him by the United Bank for Africa (UBA), where discussions centred on investment, economic growth and opportunities for stronger public-private sector collaboration.
According to the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra, the meeting provided an avenue for Governor Sule and his team to engage the leadership of UBA America on strategies for unlocking the investment potential of Nasarawa State.
Addra said the engagement was particularly focused on exploring areas where strategic partnerships and private-sector investments could contribute to the state’s economic development and create new opportunities.
He said Governor Sule used the occasion to further present Nasarawa State as a state with growing investment prospects, while highlighting the importance of international partnerships in supporting the administration’s economic development agenda.
The Chief Press Secretary said the UBA America dinner was part of the Governor’s broader programme of engagements in New York aimed at strengthening relationships with international investors, development partners and private-sector institutions.
He added that the engagements were designed to expand opportunities for investment and partnerships that would support the sustainable economic development of Nasarawa State.
Governor Sule’s participation in the high-level engagements comes as his administration continues to pursue initiatives aimed at attracting investment, promoting economic diversification and strengthening private-sector participation in the state’s development.
