The Vice-Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, has approved the appointment of Associate Professor Usman Alhaji Yusuf of the Department of Sociology as the Acting Director of the Institute of Governance and Development Studies (IGDS).
The appointment takes effect from September 25, 2026, and is for an initial period of one year, ending on September 24, 2027.
In a letter conveying the appointment, the Registrar of the University, Dr. Bala I. Ahmed II, MNIM, FCAI, FCIM, said the appointment was made with the approval of the Vice-Chancellor.
In his new capacity, Associate Professor Usman is expected to provide effective and efficient administrative and academic leadership aimed at strengthening the Institute and further enhancing sound academic policies and programmes of the university.
He will also be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor in the discharge of his duties as Acting Director.
The management of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, congratulated Associate Professor Usman Alhaji Yusuf on his appointment and wished him a successful and impactful tenure in office.
