President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Governor of Zamfara State, Dr Dauda Lawal, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a “Renaissance governor” who has brought positive transformation to the state.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised Governor Lawal for his commitment to improving infrastructure, renewing urban centres and promoting industrialisation across Zamfara.
The President specifically commended the governor for extending his administration’s development agenda beyond physical infrastructure to key sectors such as education and healthcare.
According to Tinubu, Governor Lawal’s administration has rehabilitated more than 800 schools and recruited over 2,000 teachers as part of efforts to strengthen the state’s education system.
He also acknowledged the governor’s interventions in the health sector, including the upgrading of hospitals and the provision of medical supplies to healthcare facilities across the state.
President Tinubu said the governor’s multi-sectoral approach to governance reflects the importance of pursuing development that addresses both infrastructure and human capital needs.
The President, who has consistently advocated holistic development, described Governor Lawal’s approach as a step in the right direction towards improving the welfare and living conditions of the people of Zamfara.
Tinubu joined Governor Lawal’s family, friends and the people of Zamfara State in celebrating the occasion, wishing him good health, renewed strength and continued success in his service to the state and the nation.
