The First Lady of Taraba State, Her Excellency Mrs. Agyin Kefas, has congratulated the people of the state on the 35th anniversary of its creation, describing the milestone as an opportunity to reflect on the state’s journey and renew hope for a brighter future.
Mrs. Kefas, in a goodwill message marking the anniversary, said the occasion provided an opportunity to honour individuals and communities that have contributed to the development of Taraba State over the past 35 years.
She noted that Taraba remained richly endowed with natural resources, cultural diversity and hardworking citizens, stressing that these attributes provide a strong foundation for sustainable development and prosperity.
According to her, the resilience and strength of the people remain central to the progress recorded by the state, while unity and collective purpose would be critical to achieving greater development in the years ahead.
The First Lady reaffirmed her commitment to supporting initiatives focused on improving the welfare of women, children, families and vulnerable members of society.
She called for greater unity and cooperation among the people, saying an inclusive, peaceful and prosperous Taraba could only be achieved through collective efforts and a shared commitment to the wellbeing of future generations.
Mrs. Kefas also congratulated her husband, the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Dr. Agbu Kefas, and the entire people of the state on the significant anniversary.
She prayed for God’s continued blessings upon Taraba State and guidance for its leaders and citizens as they work towards building a better future.
