The wife of the Katsina State Governor and Founder of the Pledging Aid Charity Foundation (PAC-F), Hajia Fatima Dikko Radda, has taken Katsina State’s campaign for greater cancer awareness, early detection and access to care to the international community.
Radda is participating in the 2026 World Cancer Congress, being held from September 24 to 26 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.
The global gathering, organised by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) in collaboration with the Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society, brings together more than 2,000 researchers, clinicians, policymakers, patient advocates and Ministers of Health from over 120 countries.
Her participation is expected to provide an opportunity to share experiences from Katsina State, particularly initiatives driven through PAC-F to raise awareness about cancer, promote screening and support patients, with particular attention to women and vulnerable communities.

Speaking on her participation at the congress, Radda said the event would enable her to share lessons from the foundation’s interventions while gaining insights into international approaches to cancer prevention, treatment and health equity.
“Through my foundation, PAC-F, we have continued to bridge the gap in awareness, screening and support for cancer patients in Katsina. The World Cancer Congress gives us a global platform to share our experiences and learn best practices in prevention, treatment and health equity,” she said.
The three-day CPD-certified congress features plenary sessions, workshops and networking platforms, including the Innovation Hub and Spotlight Stage, where participants are discussing multidisciplinary approaches to tackling the growing burden of cancer globally.
Radda, who has become associated with humanitarian interventions through PAC-F, said the foundation would continue to support initiatives aimed at reducing the impact of cancer and improving access to information, screening and care.
She stressed the importance of ensuring that vulnerable patients are not left behind in the fight against cancer, while reaffirming her commitment to connecting grassroots interventions in Katsina with global efforts aimed at improving cancer outcomes.
