There was an outpouring of goodwill and encomiums as the House of Reps candidate of Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, for Sagbama–Ekeremor Federal Constituency, in Bayelsa State, Hon. Selekebina Saboh, popularly known as Seles Saboh, marked his 53rd birthday by reaching out to persons living with disabilities in Bayelsa State.
As part of the celebration, the Egbemo-Angalabiri born politician donated several bags of rice, cartons of Indomie noodles and cash to members of the disability community drawn from across Bayelsa State.
Hon. Saboh said the gesture is part of his yearly dedication to the less privileged and not politics, an idea which he said was given to him by Senior Prophet T.B Joshua
Among those present to celebrate with him was MC Abioka D Entertainer, President of all Ijaw MC’s and Comedians Association Worldwide, who came on behalf of his boss and mentor, Engr. Michael Tonlagha, Founder of Michael Tonlagha Initiative, to present a portrait to Hon. Saboh.
Speaking at the event, MC Abioka said:
“Hon. Seles Saboh is a kind person, he gives listening ears to everybody. He is a good man and we pray God will continue to grant him success. If he is happy, every humanity around him is also happy.”
On his capacity for the House of Reps, he added: “He has all it takes, all the capacity to make the people proud in the House. If I give him ninety percent, he is excellent.”
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Comr. Ekpomokumor Mayor, Chairman, Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities, Bayelsa State Chapter, said Hon. Saboh has been consistent for over four years.
“Every 24th of September, he puts smile on our faces from his own hard-earned money. He pays house rents, school fees, and medical bills for PWDs. We pray God elevates him more.”
The disability community showered prayers on him for long life, more resources and elevation.
