The 50th birthday celebration, held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Lucky Ebido along Amassoma/Tombia Road, opposite Agboli Junction, before the big church, Okutukutu II, Yenagoa, began with a colourful dancing procession by the celebrant and her husband, accompanied by their children, grandchildren, friends, colleagues and other well-wishers.

He described Mrs. Bridget Ebido as “the wife of my youth, the love of my life, and the priceless mother of my beautiful children.”
Mr. Ebido expressed gratitude to his wife for saying yes to his proposal as a struggling young man in Warri in the early 90s, when he had no roof over his head, no car and no money to throw about. He thanked her for 33 years of patience, endurance, tolerance, unwavering love and unshakable faith in him through every season of their marriage.
The celebrant, Mrs. Bridget Ebido, flanked by her husband, children, grandchildren, members of Happiness Is Free, staff of Little Jesus Academy and other well-wishers, cut the Golden Jubilee cake designed by Miss Monic Michael.

In her goodwill message, Mrs. Faith Bruce said her path and that of the celebrant crossed at the Bayelsa State College of Health Technology in 2010, where Mrs. Ebido was her course representative.
She described Mrs. Bridget Ebido as an easy-going person with milk of human kindness, who brooks no animosity and is always willing to support those in need.
Mrs. Bruce said the celebrant is the first person she always calls whenever she goes into labour, after her husband, noting that Mrs. Ebido would immediately come to the labour room and pray until she delivers, and thereafter take care of her and the baby.
Also speaking, the President of Happiness Is Free, Mrs. Emem Peace Morris Konugah, said Mrs. Bridget Ebido deserves all the encomiums poured on her, as evident in her humane, humble and benevolent lifestyle and peaceful disposition to all.
She described Mrs. Ebido as a free-minded woman, ever-smiling, happy and never keeping malice, which according to her explains why she looks younger than 50, and prayed God to bless her.
Mrs. Esther Adeh, a sister-in-law and friend of the celebrant, described Mrs. Bridget Ebido as a good and easy-going woman who is always ready to support others to succeed. She prayed God to grant her sound health and many more years to fulfil destiny.
Speaking on behalf of the children, the first child, Mrs. Timiebiyeri Jennifer Akangah, expressed gratitude to God for using her mother and father as vessels to bring her and her siblings into the world.
Mrs. Akangah said she has learnt a lot from her mother and thanked her for the proper and sound upbringing that has made her stand out wherever she finds herself.
In her vote of thanks, the celebrant expressed gratitude to God for His mercies, grace and faithfulness that enabled her to attain the milestone age of 50.
Mrs. Bridget Ebido thanked her husband, Mr. Lucky Ebido, for his love, calm, transparent, understanding and peaceful disposition, saying there has never been any incident of wife battering since they got married. She prayed God to grant him sound health, long life and prosperity.
She also appreciated members of Happiness Is Free for their support and prayers, the Proprietor and staff of Little Jesus Academy Group of Schools, friends, neighbours and other well-wishers for turning out en masse to celebrate with her, and prayed that celebration will not cease in their lives in Jesus’ name.
Joseph Frank of Bipere Academy, Yenizue-Gene, and Destiny made presentations to capture the mother-figure nature of the celebrant for accepting children wherever she finds herself.
